Road Hacker's Blackening Spice


Generously coat chicken, beef, pork, fish, or even tofu on both sides. Very hot cast iron skillet - Note: if you shake a finger drop of tap water into the skillet and the water drop "Dances" , sizzles and evaporates quickly, then its ready and not a moment sooner

Road Hacker's Blackening Spice:

Ingredients / Directions:

In a small mixing bowl add the following herbs [dried] and crush them with your fingers or with a mortar/pestle

- 3 tsp Dried Basil
- 1 tsp Dried Thyme
- 2 tsp Dried Oregano

Now add the following into the mixing bowl

- 4 tsp Salt
- 3 tsp Garlic Powder
- 4 tsp Onion Powder
- 2 tsp White Pepper
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 4 Tablespoons Paprika
- 4 Tablespoons Black Pepper

Combine well and then store in a glass canning jar with lid, keep it air tight! Store in cool dry cabinet, NOT in the refrigerator
